Flobots

I feel lucky that I have the opportunity to bring my love of photography and music together. Typically, it’s a concert, or performance of some sort that allows this union.  This night, it was bowling.

I was front and center while some of my favorite bands, including Rise Against, the Flobots, Matt Morris, Tickle Me Pink, and the Epilogues, battled it out on the shiny floors of Belmar’s Lucky Strike to raise money for Flobots.org. It was great to see their off-stage personalities, and change up their comfort zone a bit!

Welcome

I’ve always wanted to be able to approach the unapproachable; strangers, who would rather be left alone, but appear to have a story to tell. Striking up conversations with people I don’t know at a social venue is easy. It’s expected. Outside the social element, however, it feels somewhat intrusive. This bright-eyed woman was waiting to meet up with a potential landlord, and was very open to having her picture taken. This was my first attempt at a random approach, and she made it very easy. I wonder if the landlord ever showed . . .
